Intended Audience

  • Age Group 7-10 years old

What do I need?

  • Live Online Training : A laptop, and a stable internet connection. The recommended minimum speed is around 10 Mbps.
  • Grade 1 reading literacy
  • Grade 1 maths literacy

Certification

  • A progress report will be issued after each module like this module.
  • After all modules were completed, and the assessments passed, a Competency Certificate will be issued

Duration

    • 1 Year (40 one hour lessons, 10 per term, one per week)
    • Crash Course - This course can be crahed over a period of 1-2 weeks full time

    Outcomes

    • You will discover how to combine core EV3 elements like blocks, data wires, files and variables to create sophisticated programs.
    • You will learn good programming practices, memory management and helpful debugging strategies
    • You will learn to program your robot to react to different environments and respond to commands
    • You will be able to program your robot to follow a wall to navigate a maze
    • Your robot will be able to display ddrawings that you input with dials, sensors and data wires on the EV3 screen
    • You will proram your robot to play a Simon Says-style game that uses arrays to save your high score
